A lighthouse doesn’t cure the storm. It just makes sure nobody has to cross the water without a light to steer by.
That’s a good way to think about what’s happening Tuesday afternoon across the bridge in Bluffton. The 3rd Annual “Let’s Talk Cancer” Forum brings oncology specialists from MUSC Hollings Cancer Center (South Carolina’s only National Cancer Institute–designated cancer center) to the Lowcountry for a free afternoon of plain talk about a hard subject.
Almost every family on this island has a cancer story. This is a chance to hear directly from the people working on the next chapter of it.

Why it matters here
For a long time, the best cancer care in South Carolina meant a drive to Charleston. With a new MUSC pavilion in Bluffton and a major cancer center underway in Charleston, that’s changing, and this forum is a chance to ask what it means for you and the people you love.
Whether you’re a patient, a survivor, a caregiver, or someone who simply wants to understand your own risk, you’ll leave with real information and a few new names to call.
Seats are free, but they’re limited, so claim yours today: Reserve on Eventbrite
The “Let’s Talk Cancer” forum is organized by the Terminate Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
